UP Vargas Museum, in cooperation with CANVAS - Center for Art, New Ventures & Sustainable Development, opens "Karapatan" on June 20, Tuesday, 6pm at the 3F Galleries.
 
"Karapatan" is this year’s Looking for Juan Outdoor Banner Project presentation by CANVAS at Vargas Museum, featuring works from more than 60 artists reflecting on the theme of human rights. The diverse expression of these artists becomes a means for broaching the subject while at the same time foregrounds the ways human rights are grasped in the Filipino society.
 
Exhibition runs until July 22.

The Center for Art, New Ventures and Sustainable Development (CANVAS) promotes greater awareness and appreciation for Philippine art and culture principally through exhibitions and projects that not only showcases artworks from some of the best young contemporary Filipino artists around, but also lead to the publication of books, prints, and other merchandise that make these artworks more accessible to more people.
