These events uphold the museum’s education and research thrusts in our aim to provide meaningful experiences shaped by art. They also promote a deeper engagement with the world, in ways that only art can facilitate. In line with this year’s theme for International Museum Day (IMD), “Museums for Education and Research,” the UP Vargas Museum continues its pivotal role as a university museum that cultivates cultural exchange and develops a holistic understanding of our world.
We recognize that exhibition-making alongside public programs should be attentive to the contemporary world in its glories as well as its urgencies. Museums must persist in the challenging task of creating exhibitions that matter, specifically those that allow members of a collective to think along and productively engage each other. We strive to uphold the responsibility of an art institution that is also a dynamic center for learning, one which encourages curiosity and criticality among its publics.

Visit the UP Vargas Museum at the University of the Philippines Diliman Campus. We are open from Tuesdays to Saturdays except holidays, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Admission fee is worth 20 php for all students and 50 php for adults.

We are also launching our museum merchandise with a limited edition tote bag! Avail the tote bag starting May 18th, Saturday.
