        The UP Vargas Museum opens its Permanent Art Collection at the 2/F Main Gallery with a virtual tour on October 1, Thursday. The virtual tour in English, which tells the story of the Vargas Collection, is narrated by the University of the Philippines alumna, Loren Legarda (Broadcast Communication). The Vargas Collection presents the art works donated by the distinguished alumnus, Jorge B. Vargas (1911 AB; 1914 Law). The Main Gallery of the museum plays out in four sections: Light, Province, Unease, and Passage, shedding insight on the various turns of events in the history and culture in the Philippines through colonial and modern art; contemporary expression; and archival material.
